January Drunch - Fancy tablecloth Italian

Insanity restored with another wonderful drunch.  Mama Melina's had some great food and is now added to the list of returns in the future.  Although, Effy don't forget no meat next time!!!  A few notes from drunch:

1.  Coco will be bringing her ear scope thingy to the next drunch.  We all want to see how it works and how much wax one can get from it. 
2.  During Effy's potential absense to drunch due to lack of hubby and new baby entering the world at any moment, VK (with signage) will be stepping in to be vice president for the group.  We have all the faith in your abilities to ensure drunch is maintained through any emergency.
3.  Big potential news.....Jazzleen is engaged to be engaged.  We're all very cautiously excited about the potential down the road and look forward to hearing more about potential.

Happy 2011, I will say this drunch was a great start to the year.  For many many more to come.  Most might remember the ladies in the back of the restaurant that appeared to be their own drunch and let's shoot for that 30+ years down the road.  I want to be drinking with my favorite ladies a long time from now so let's pace our livers and make it happen.  Oh and don't forget to plan your lives around Mexico 2014!!

December Drinner - Icon Grill

Almost all the ladies were able to make it to the end of the year drunch/drinner.  We missed out on Lexi, Cooper and VK (with signage).  We had a huge table at the always yummy Icon Grill downtown.  We shared wine, appetizers, salads and then at some yummy entrees and topped everything off with dessert.  I think we all were rolled out due to being overstuffed but what better way to spend the evening with the ladies. 

Awards were given out (congrats to all the winners):

Cooper- Flash Phobic award - best camera avoidance skills.
DeDe- First Responder award - always the first one to RSVP and reply to emails.
All the Way Sam- Best Multi Tasking award - able to do school full time, mommy full time and still find time to get tipsy at drunch
Ginger- Best Breeder award - first one of us to get to 3 kids
Jessica- Best Choice for First Drunch Ever award - you waited for the most fun one to come.
Coco- Fashionista award - always the best dressed, drunk or sober.
Cullens- Makes It Look Easy award - already has her 3month old trained to sleep 8hrs at night

We also said our drunchy cheers without our cheat tags, I'd say we are getting good.  Still needs a bit of work but we're on our way. 

Don't forget ladies 2014 MEXICO baby!!!!  Put it in your calendars and be prepared.  I know I've got some bikini work to get on before then.  I should probably start 2 years ago haha. 

Love to all of you drunchy ladies, way to rock the year.  Hope to see everyone next year with full attendance (see attendance for individual goals next year).  We all mean so much to one another and I for one must say I couldn't make it without you all!!

I'd say we've pretty much mastered the "V" formation, although when it's a large group it's tough to see the bottom of the "V"

I think most of us above Jazz and Cullens are not a fan of the stair formation.  I vote we eliminate in 2011 or work on how to better view chins :)

November Drunch - 520 Bar & Grill

Let's pray people!

This was quite a yummy drunch.  We were in fancy town near quite a few cute boutiques and eateries (see Addie to the right with fancy cross on). 

Jazzleen had quite a few things to say this drunch that led us to say she is "pretty."  She said "did you guys know that on Veterans day and thursday kids were out of school?" (both fell on the same day).  Then she mentioned to Coco that John called her sickle...and Coco said you mean fickle and she said no no it's sickle.  We all had a giggly laugh about that one. 

We also had a lot of 'ball' talk.  Yes those kinds of balls.  We think that since men get saggy balls later in life they should join us in a bit of nip tuck when we do our stuff.  It only makes sense......

After drunch, and getting drunchy, a few of us headed over to Lexi's house for a jewelry party.  Always fun to spend maximum time with the druncy girlies. 

Oh and last but not least, it was decided to make December drunch a drinner.  More to come but looking forward to that for sure.

October Drunch - Boom Noodle...aka The Baby Brigade

Had a great drunch today at the ever so popular Boom Noodle.  They have such yummmmmy food, can't wait to go back there.  We had a lot of babies joining the drunch:  VK's baby Mason, Cullens baby Juliet and Ginger's baby Jillian (who by the way nurses like a rockstar).  We were almost outnumbered. 

We covered a few items of interest during the blog....
- Addie explained her near death experience on I-5...yes a bit dramatic in the near death but always a better story.
- Jazleen is our official photographer for the group.  She's very honored and hopes to make everyone happy with the vote. 
- We launched the Drunch Blog and everyone says it's simply fabulous (of course).
- Cooper did another tri and we thinks she's insane and awesome all at once. 
- Ginger brought up an agenda item on Friends Thanksgiving and the Gift exchange.  We discussed dates and who was throwing  the parties.
- VK (with signage) is going to do her best to throw a mini Halloween party and since I'm writing this after the fact I will say it was a good one.  Tame but that's what happens when babies get into the mix.
- We do think that Lexi may have a lying problem.  There are a lot of family "things" to go to and we think they are made up and she's really doing something she thinks is more fun than us?

All in all it was a great drunch as usual.   Love all you ladies and until our next drunch time....

2010 Drunches....all caught up to current

Well better late than never but we are all caught up on our drunchy memories.  Enjoy the 2010 through Sept updates and pictures.  Ladies, our drunches are now documented which means we must continue to have them and each and every time make them better and more important in our lives.  This is what helps keep us sane with all the craziness that surrounds us. 

January - Blue Water Bistro - Clearly you don't need to know any math in this place cause it took us 45 minutes to close out our drunch.  This for sure has been taken off the list.  We decided in 2010 for each drunchy lady to pick the location for drunch.  The only caveat is they have to have some good ass drinks.  Also, to note here Effy has decided to only eat egg whites or drink for a while at drunches. 

Febuary - Barrio - Our picture taker, Jazzleen has failed to bring her camera to this drunch.  She did though bring one of her girlfriends.  We've decided we don't have to kill her now that she knows our secret group but we did slip some memory dust in her drink so she doesn't remember.  Most importantly this is the drunch where we ratified the 5 year reunion to take place in Mexico.  We aren't sure if exactly 5 will work but for now it's on the docket.  Also, big big news, Cullens announced she is having a beautiful vampire baby!!!

March - Boom Noodle - For sure another restaurant on the list of places to repeat.  A very special appearance from "Rita" which is Nancy Brown (Adelaine's momma).  Effy put her right on the spot asking her to recall a drunchy memory of her own and man she had a good one that ended in being blacked out.  She clearly fit in great!!  Firefighters were also asked to join our drunch but unfortunately declined.  Clearly we were too hot for them.  Jazzleen also told us a story about a French announcer at the Olympics......remember.....ahhh yes....I remember now.....  More big news, VK (add signage) announced her pregnancy.  It's gonna be baby central this summer.

April - Beachouse Bar & Grill - It was a really yummy spot (yammy fries) picked by Jazzleen.  We are celebrating today our 1 year anniversary of drunch!!!  Hola at you drunchy ladies.  This place didn't split checks...who doesn't split checks...it's 2010 people!!!  And it wasn't even that busy.....

May - La Isla - Damn good margaritas, great pick DeDe!!! I'm kinda drooling thinking about it now!!  Cooper drank a lot of booze at this drunch.  It was good times.  Also Coco announced she has sex twice a day.  I mean maybe not everyday twice a day but we're all thinking it's pretty damn healthy.  Good work Coco!!!  We also began practicing our "V" formation posing.  We're getting better at getting everyone in....if only we could force some people........Cooper we're talking about you :)

June - Attendance was low in June so Effy and Cooper decided to walk together and gossip and giggle that way.  Good work ladies, way to represent!!

July - Little Red Bistro - For sure a hidden treasure found by Cooper.  A yummy place indeed.  A lot of us got a bit too drunchy the night before from Sangria's birthday party.  Good times, for sure one for the list of places to reattend.

August - SLU Grill - Made note that any/all summer drunch locations must be equipt with A/C!!! Lots of talk of babies and Yohn Hogg! VK (add signage) showed off her beautiful monkey nursery pics. Shout out to our tri freaks Cooper and Kiki!  You ladies keep us all in shape!!

September - Good ole Azteca - I think most of us all vote to not hit up Azteca for a while but it's always a good heartburn waiting to happen.   VK (with signage) brought her newest addition, baby Mason.  My he's very tiny and adorable and could use some beans and salsa to thicken up a bit.  We all tried to think of ways to help Ginger go into labor but unfortunately nothing worked.  Needless to say she had her 3rd newest addition the following day.  I mean ya gotta schedule around drunch right!!  We send All the way Sam back to school so we'll see her again in the summer, good luck hot stuff (maybe we'll get a surprise appearance)!!  Cooper is starting school as well which is insane, not sure where she will find the time but if anyone can she can.  Yohn Hogg is still the talk of the town....could it be.....  Ladies the fall is here and it's time to work around school and of course the ever loving football season.  Make it happen and see you all in October!!!

2009 Drunches

Well since we are starting this blog so late I want to just summarize the remaining 2009.  It was a great year of Mexican food.  We've enjoyed it, gained our 5 pounds and can't wait for next year. 

May - Aqua Verde - This drunch was special in that the 'Drunch Cheers' was first implemented.  We do this cheers at the beginning of our drunch to symbolize the time we have together.  Effy came up with the idea and came up with the following cheers:

  "Cheers to the ladies who drunch, Ladies who drink with their lunch, Drinks before food, put us in the mood, To gossip and giggle and munch." 

We're still working on the laminating process of this cheers but for now we pull out our little piece of paper and cheers proudly as Ladies who Drunch.

July - Plaza Garcia - No pictures were taken at this drunch.  Instead of saying we forgot we'll just say there was too much craziness going on to photograph....just use your imagination....

August - Senor Moose - Special guest appearance...Tyler, just a few days old

September - Mr. Villa - Ginger suggested we start keeping track of our favorite places because Mr. Villa was absolutely awesome!!  Brown crayons were discussed briefly with some giggles attached.  "Mango Tango" was also discussed and example use cases were talked about.  This may be something we add as drunch moves along but we agree we do need a code when emergency drinking situations occur!!

October and November were just too busy to get everyone together.  We all agreed it was really no excuse and if we must chose a weekday in 2010 to make it happen we will.  Never again will we skip a drunch…..

December - Cactus - Best Baja Margarita ever!!!!  Again no pics here but a small group who enjoyed some not so dirty mexican food.  We pledged to make 2010 a full year of drunch! Decided the them for 2010 would be places with excellent drinks. Ginger recounts the night she "almost died" from VK's (add signage) girls night.  We now truly believe we are very lucky to have Ginger with us today. 

April 2009, the first of so many to come

Will first comment on the launch of drunch by el Presidente (aka Effy).  First a beautiful picture with a kiss from Ginger (after a shot of tequila)...

Our first drunch was a successful one, meeting at the Greenlake Rositas.  I mean everyone loves a little dirty mexican....food that is and we all endulged in margaritas, chips and salsa and everything with cheese on it.  our theme this year (2009) will be Mexican food.  We must consume as much food that is not good for us as much as possible and so we will.....  We had a suprise guest this drunch, little Madi (DeDe's newest addition).   We love surprise guest and hope that one day the fund will support a hot stripper but until then we'll for sure take beautiful babies in place of.  Enjoy the pictures and more to come.....
